Akshay,

As long as the Linux distribution supports the CL implementation(s) that
you are planning to use, the choice will come down to individual
preference. We use Fedora (currently Fedora 9) at the GBBopen Project for
GBBopen development and testing, and I know that GBBopen has been used with
Debian, Ubuntu, Gentoo, SUSE, and RHEL. (Other GBBopen under Linux users
are invited to chime in with their favorite Linux distribution and why they
prefer it.)

If you plan to use the Linux under virtualization (on a virtual host), then
compatibility of the distribution with the virtualization software should
also be considered.

Finally, if you plan to use GBBopen in concert with other applications,
check that they are well supported under the Linux distribution.

In other words, there are a lot of "right" answers to your question
(although some answers may be more "right" than others :-) ...)
